    Server, domain, SSL, backup, user structure, and apps are set up for the start.

    The transfer runs in line with the package, including testing, differential transfer, and a shared switch time.

    Updates, monitoring, backups, and extensions follow a agreed operational framework.

Is Nextcloud Talk a complete Zoom replacement?

For chat, one-on-one conversations, and smaller team meetings, Talk can be a very good fit. Larger conferences require a high-performance backend, additional bandwidth, and a dedicated sizing. This is not included in the starter package by default.

Why does hosting cost more than the VPS from the provider?

The VPS is only the infrastructure. The managed price includes setup of the operation, updates, basic monitoring, daily external backup, recovery path, and personal technical support. Provider promotional prices are therefore not a reliable end customer price.

Is the offer automatically DSGVO-compliant?

No server product replaces the review of the specific use case. We plan a German server location, a suitable AV contract, technical protection measures, and clear responsibilities. The legal assessment remains with your organization or your data protection consultancy.

How is the appropriate migration package determined?

The first reached limit from the number of files and data volume applies. The source system, permission structure, file names, and desired time window can additionally influence the effort and are checked in the Nextcloud Check.

Can data be synchronized with other servers in the background?

Yes, depending on the source via SFTP, SMB, WebDAV, S3, or another Nextcloud. Nextcloud can mount external storage and detect changes via Cron or Rescans. Whether true bidirectional synchronization makes sense depends on the source system and conflict rules.

Can the hosting scale later?

Yes. More users, storage, computing power, Talk backend, or additional integrations can be added. Before scaling, we check real usage and bottlenecks, rather than selling a larger server by default.
